The tricky part is usually in situations where you need to blend well to so that it hides any visible marks or cover oil that may be on the skin. Keeping the face ready
Prepare your face the first thing before you use foundation brush. This will entail doing such things as:
- Cleansing your face with plain water and patting it with a clean towel to make it dry.
- Applying a moisturizing cream on the face regardless of your skin type. Give the moisturiser time before moving to the next step.
- Foundation primer should follow suit where a foundation brush can be used. If you don’t have one, you can simply use your hands.
- A Concealer will come in handy especially where there are dark circles that need to be concealed under the skin.
How to do the foundation
Applying the foundation is an art which can be learned with practise. If you are using the liquid type, simply pour it in your hands. Next, use your foundation brush appropriately to spread the foundation on the skin. If you don’t want so much of it at a go, simply use just one side of the brush; for total coverage, both ends of the brush will come into use.
When applying it, use gentle sweeps as opposed to hard presses against the skin. This helps in blending the makeup evenly on the skin.
If any makeup lines are left behind after initial application, use the unused ends of the foundation brush to clear them.
