Marianne Williamson’s “A Course in Weight Loss” — FREE Online Discussion Group Now Forming!
Dear friends and family,

I am reading this incredible new book by Marianne Williamson called A Course in Weight Loss and I can’t wait to read and discuss the book with you! So, I have decided to host a FREE online book discussion starting in January 2011. Here is a description of what you’ll be reading with me:

“What is the connection between spirituality and weight loss? Best-selling author Marianne Williamson is about to answer that question for you in her groundbreaking new book, bringing you 21 spiritual lessons to help you surrender your weight forever. These lessons form a holistic paradigm for weight loss, addressing the spiritual, emotional, and psychological elements involved in what Williamson refers to as “conscious weight loss”. If you are a food addict, a compulsive eater, or someone who for any reason sees food as the enemy, this book is for you.”

In case you didn’t know, this book is one of Oprah’s Favorite Things for 2010. The author, Marianne Williamson, is one of Oprah’s many spiritual mentors over the years. This book is a compilation of Marianne’s letters to Oprah about how to overcome her battle with weight from a spiritual perspective rather than just a dietary one.

We will discuss this book’s 21 lessons one at a time, and we will go at our own pace. You may participate at whatever depth feels comfortable to you. You may ask questions of yourself and of one another. We will support each other in discovering what is keeping us from experiencing peace with our bodies.

*What is Yahoo! Groups? Yahoo! Groups is one of the world’s largest collections of online discussion boards. The term Groups refers to an Internet communication tool which is a hybrid between an electronic mailing list and a threaded Internet forum, in other words, Group messages can be read and posted by e-mail or on the Group homepage like a web forum. In addition, members can choose whether to receive individual, daily digest or Special Delivery e-mails, or simply read Group posts on the Group’s web site. Groups can be created with public or member-only access. Some Groups are simply announcement bulletin boards, to which only the Group moderators can post, while others are discussion forums. The variations of Yahoo Groups are virtually endless.

As well as providing e-mail relaying and archiving facilities for the many Groups it hosts, the Yahoo! Groups service provides additional facilities for each Group web site, such as a homepage, message archive, polls, calendar announcements, files, photos, database functions, and bookmarks.

It is not necessary to register with Yahoo! in order to participate in Yahoo Groups. The basic mailing list functionality is available to any e-mail address, but a Yahoo! ID is required to access some other features.
